Walking on Sunshine!!!

Right before taking Sidney to school I realized that the beautiful spring blooms right in front of my subdivision would make for a beautiful picture on a sunny day.  I labeled this post "Walking on sunshine" because this is my daughters new FAVORITE song.  She loves to sing it.  To hear her sing this song click on the below link after viewing the pictures.  Enjoy!!!!!

Spring has Sprung Part II

March 29. 2012 was picture day at my sons school and as usual I had to get a few pics of my own.  Unlike my daughter, my son is not as cooperative when I am taking pictures but I always get in a few good shots.... Enjoy!!!!

Finally....A good one!!!

Natural Light....Natural Beauty

So I tried something different.
1.  Instead of going downstairs in the basement to my studio (it's a little cold for Brookey Brooke) I bought the studio upstairs to me.
2.  Instead of using studio lights I used ambient light (the natural light available in the room)

Here is the picture of the setup in my family room.

These pictures were taken midday, around 12pm.  The window on the left is a north facing window (the light was not beaming directly through the window).  I used a silver reflector as my fill light so that there wouldn't be a shadow on the left side of her face.  The pictures below are in their natural state...meaning I didn't edit anything in Photoshop.  In my opinion, the pictures look just as great!!!!!
